Video and Visuals for Hot Chip

Close collaborator Felix Martin (who - amongst much else - has been responsible for audio production and music on most of our films) is a member of the Mercury-nominated pop group Hot Chip, as well as being a fine musician and producer in his own right. Band-mate Al Doyle travelled to Romania during the filming of We’ll Never Meet Childhood Again and ran a week of musical workshops for the children there. Further, Felix and Al produced the superb musical score to The Last Lighthouse Keepers.

Shortly before Hot Chip were signed to their present label, we produced a music-video for their tune “And I Was A Boy From School”. It cost about £6, the price of the DV tape on which it was shot. Shortly after they were signed, the label paid for a new video, costing many, many thousands of pounds, and ours was never released.

You can see images from our video top right.

We have also produced visuals for the Hot Chip stage show, which have been enjoyed by thousands of fans at gigs all over the world. Images of these are bottom right.
